Ministry Leader: Pastor Michael Chrisman
Purpose: To lead youth into a personal growing relationship with
Jesus Christ.
6th – 12th Grade
Equipping and edifying our teens is very important to NWCC. We believe families are the foundation that leads teenagers to become spiritually mature Christian adults, so we strive to involve the parents in the Youth Ministry and encourage ministry in their homes too. There are youth meetings with worship, fellowship and Biblical education, Sunday school meetings for really getting into God’s Word, youth worship services, and a youth praise band. In addition, we take part in activities such as summer camp, Christ in Youth (CIY) conferences, service projects, and a host of other activities. Teens will have many opportunities to serve and grow here at NWCC, and we always have a GREAT time in the process.
Additional information:
- Middle and High school students in Sunday school are moving through many different Biblically based studies that will allow them to grow as disciples of Jesus and establish their Biblical worldview.
- On the second and fourth Saturday nights the Youth Group meets at the church for “The Tree and Rock.” The Tree and Rock is a time fellowship with a topical study and discussion led by Pastor Michael or one of the students, followed by a time of games/challenges, snacks, and anything else we feel inspired to try.
- There are periodically service projects, home Bible studies, prayer meetings, discipleship groups, lock-ins, camp outs, and other activities.
- Students are encouraged to serve in the church; develop leadership; and attend Christian conferences (CIY - Christ In Youth), summer camp (Prairie View Christian Camp), and Bible Colleges.
